BSW Students
Greetings!
As you look at information regarding Field Education at the Baylor School of Social Work, it is my hope that you will begin to see that Field Education is, in fact, the central focus of our curriculum. Field Education is where our students, with all the knowledge and skills they have gained from the classroom, join our trained and experienced professionals who are doing the front-line work.
Through Field Education, social work comes alive and students begin to see the real faces and stories behind the important issues they have read so much about, and they also begin to take responsibility for their chance to affect change. Students complete their Field experiences having gained knowledge, experience and competence in skillfully and professionally building community, integrating faith and practice, and finding the strengths in others when they may not find it in themselves. If you would like to join us in this effort, we would love to hear from you.
If you have questions beyond the information you find here, or if you’d simply like to have more conversation about Field Education at the Baylor School of Social Work, please contact us. We would love to visit with you!
