MSW Program Eligibility

GML candidates must complete the MSW application AND be accepted into the MSW program in order to be considered for the GML Scholarship. Please thoroughly review all requirements for the MSW application and contact GlobalMissionLeader@baylor.edu with questions.

GML Eligibility

• Completion of the GML Application
• Character and Service References
• Two years of volunteer work or employment with a human service organization or congregation
• Commitment to return home upon graduation to serve in home country for two years

For the 2026 GML cohort, we are accepting applications from all countries across the globe. Please note that in the second year of the program GML scholars complete their coursework online and internship in their home country. Online courses meet synchronously between 3pm and 9pm Central Standard Time (UTC -6). Due to time zone differences, these courses might meet in the middle of the night. In these cases, GML applicants will be asked to assess their ability to handle the demanding schedule of middle-of-the-night classes and daytime internships.
