Tim Alberta: "The Crisis of American Christianity" Lecture
The J.M. Dawson Institute will feature Tim Alberta for its annual fall lecture Sept. 4, 3:30 p.m, at the McLean Foyer in the Armstrong Browning Library. Mr. Alberta is an award-winning journalist and political correspondent for The Atlantic and has written for The Wall Street Journal, NPR, POLITICO, National Review, Sports Illustrated, and others. His book American Carnage debuted at the top of the New York Times’ best-seller list. His more recent book, The Kingdom, The Power, and the Glory: American Evangelicals in an Age of Extremism, will be available for purchase at the reception and book signing following the lecture. The event is free and open to the public. Together with the Dawson Institute and the Department of Religion, the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core and the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work are also sponsoring the lecture.
