Buddy Edwards
Part-time Faculty
| Prof. Edwards is a life-long resident of Waco, Texas, attending Waco public schools and graduating with a BA in Sociology from Baylor University and MSW in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. He worked for 29 years at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco as Director of Planning and Research and as Grants Officer. In addition, he served as the Executive Director of Caritas of Waco from 2008 to 2020. Prof. Edwards has taught courses including Introduction to Social Welfare, Research Methods, Human Wellness and Healthcare, and Administrative Practice in Social Work. He has also served on the Garland School’s Field Education Advisory Council and held a position on the School’s Board of Advocates. |
