Carolyn Lofton
Part-time Faculty
Prof. Lofton has 29 years of social work experience with 9 years in hospice care. She is the current Mayor of Marlin, Texas and the first Black and first Black female Mayor ever elected. She has provided mentoring and tutoring to grade school students and has been a breast cancer survivor since July 7, 2011. Her research interests include increasing accessible resources for older adults that include dental provisions.
