Jim Heston

Prof. Heston is the Academic Consultant - Instructional Designer for the Garland School of Social Work. He serves as the Academic Technology Director and works with faculty in designing and improving instruction. He is a former K-12 teacher and administrator and has taught as a Baylor adjunct since 2015, including online instruction using both synchronous and asynchronous modality. He currently teaches Social Justice & Technology online, which he designed alongside Dean Jon Singletary, exploring how presentations, social media, simple websites, and video can enhance a social worker’s effectiveness.
