MSW Dual Degrees
The Garland School of Social Work has partnered with Truett Theological Seminary and Hankamer School of Business to offer three dual degree opportunities for graduate students.
Master of Divinity (M.Div.)/Master of Social Work (MSW)
The M.Div./MSW dual degree can help students interested in pursuing a career in congregations, religiously affiliated organizations, and faith communities. In many of these settings, the M.Div. degree strengthens students' preparation for church leadership. Often an M.Div. is a requirement to hold leadership positions. Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.)/Master of Social Work (MSW)
The M.T.S/MSW dual degree provides an interdisciplinary option for students to develop competency in Christian scriptures, theology, global missions, and Baptist identity, as well as an understanding of advanced social work practice in congregations and religiously affiliated organizations.
