We’re glad you’re ready to take the next step towards joining the Garland School of Social Work at Baylor University! The Garland School of Social Work is now accepting Master of Social Work (MSW) applications for the 2024-2025 academic year. Click the button below to start your application for the Waco campus.
The Garland School of Social Work releases admissions decisions five times between mid-November and mid-May with various financial aid award opportunities within each deadline. We encourage applicants to apply as early as possible.

Students admitted in November will receive a deadline by which to submit their FAFSA in order to secure their financial aid award.
*An application is considered complete when all application documents required for admission have been received and processed by the Garland School of Social Work.
**This amount represents the minimum financial aid award admitted students should expect to receive through scholarships and tuition remission.

Students interested in applying for the Baylor University MSW-Waco Standard or Advanced Standing Degree option are required to submit the following documents:

- $45 Application Fee*
- You may qualify for an application fee waiver. If you are interested in applying for an application fee waiver, complete the Application Fee Waiver Qualification Form here.
- Fee waiver is only applicable for prospective students applying to our residential program (Waco, TX campus)
- You may qualify for an application fee waiver. If you are interested in applying for an application fee waiver, complete the Application Fee Waiver Qualification Form here.
- GSSW Financial Aid Form
- 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) or CSS International Profile for international applicants
- The CSS Profile opens on October 1 and should be submitted by the deadline of your chosen admission plan. The FAFSA will open December 2023 and should be completed as soon as possible to secure your financial aid award letter. Check the FAFSA website for updates through December 2023
- Practicum Evaluation (For Advanced Standing Only)
- Transcripts from all previous institutions. Prior to graduation, transcripts should include grades earned at least one semester into your final year. Students applying to the Waco campus (as standard or advanced standing) must have a degree conferred date by July 15 to be eligible to apply for the upcoming academic year.
Transcripts uploaded or submitted by the applicant are considered unofficial; however, transcripts that are sent directly from the institution are considered official.

Transfer Students
