How we do it
Utilizing the expertise of the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work faculty and students, C3I combines social work research and practice with the study of congregations and communities to identify and measure community impact.
As an academic discipline and profession, social work is sometimes misunderstood by those outside of the field. Put simply, social work is the practical work of caring for people in the context of community. Social work looks at how individuals are impacted by their families, communities, and personal traumas, and aims to increase their deepest sense of dignity and belonging. It is from this place that we all heal and thrive.
