Program goals of the PhD in Social Work
Students completing the PhD in Social Work program will be able to:
- Conduct and disseminate original, rigorous research that advances social work knowledge and addresses complex social issues.
- Demonstrate excellence in social work education through effective teaching, curriculum development, mentorship, and the application of advanced social work knowledge.
- Provide visionary leadership in social work education, research, practice, policy, and service.
- Integrate faith and religion with social work ethics, values, and practices while contributing thoughtfully and innovatively to the advancement of the social work profession.
