Graduation Information for PhD Students
PhD Graduation Eligibility
To qualify for a doctoral degree, students must complete the following requirements (found in the Baylor Graduate Catalog):
- Complete all degree requirements to participate in commencement ceremonies at the end of a term.
- Have a minimum overall grade point average of 3.0.
- Satisfy all course work, practica, dissertation, or other academic/professional efforts associated with the degree sought.
- Candidates are not allowed to continue in the doctoral program after ten years has elapsed from the semester of enrollment.
Students should verify that they have met all the requirements for graduating by running a degree audit.
Checklist for Prospective Graduates
- File for graduation with the Commencement office.
- Ensure that all incomplete coursework and assignments are turned in.
- Run a degree audit and confirm that all degree requirements are met.
- Respond to all graduation-related emails.
- Purchase Regalia through the bookstore.
