Dr. Brianna Lemmons founded this network of Black female scholars who are committed to uplifting the Black community through the scientific study of Black fatherhood and Black families.
The Ward: Race and Class in DuBois’ Seventh Ward
This year is the 125th anniversary of W.E.B. DuBois’ book, The Philadelphia Negro. Today, Dr. Stephanie Boddie and colleagues continue to reimagine ways to recover and remake W.E.B. DuBois’s seminal work.

Mastering Your Marriage
The Taya and Chris Kyle Frog Foundation and the Garland School of Social Work teamed up to create a transformative marriage enrichment program specifically targeted at the skills necessary to enrich and sustain marriages of first responders and military families.

Namaste Theory
Dr. Holly Oxhandler teaches us about the Namaste Theory. Her work led to a grant looking at religion and spirituality preparedness in social work education.
Service Marriage Counselor Certification Program
A program designed to train marriage counselors and therapists in how to best serve a special population of client: veteran, active military and first responder couples. Learn more and register.
