Master of Social Work Programs
Welcome to the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work!
We are glad you have chosen us for your social work education. Each student enters this program with their own unique experiences. These experiences, along with the experiences of the individuals, groups, and communities that they will serve are woven into our school’s rich historic tapestry. A tapestry of social work education that has continued for over 50 years at Baylor University.
Students in Baylor's MSW program can select from two program format options to complete their degree: in-person/residential in Waco, Texas, or online from across the country.
Multiple pathways allow for flexibility without compromising academic rigor. Full-time (9 hours or more) and part-time (less than 9 hours) pathways are available in both program options.
Advanced Standing Program (30 credit hours) - this program is designed for students who have received a Bachelor of Social Work degree from a CSWE-accredited program.
Standard Program (58 credit hours) - this program is designed for students who have received a bachelor's degree in something other than social work.
