What we do
We equip congregations to create safe and supportive environments for everyone in their community. Congregations do great work ministering to spiritual and physical needs, but risk causing additional harm to those experiencing hurt, vulnerability, and marginalization when not well-equipped to do so in a professional, and life-giving way. Additionally, congregations are increasingly navigating difficult conversations and cultural change. It is important that congregations understand the people in their communities and how they can be more engaged and supported.
We take the best practices and principles from social work research and apply them in the context of congregational ministry to address these challenges at a systems level. Only a holistic and evidence-based approach can ensure our ministry programs meet people where they are and pave the way for true transformation, offering lessons that can help other congregations in similar situations.
We consult directly with congregations to learn about their unique situation, then produce and gather research to develop practical, evidence-based solutions in the following four areas.
