PhD-Community Connections
The Diana R. Garland School of Social Work is committed to fostering community among PhD current students, alumni, and faculty. Class Notes provides students, alumni, and faculty the opportunity to share updates about their personal and professional journey in an effort to connect with others in the PhD community. We hope you take a few moments to submit a Class Note and connect with others.

Many of you in the PhD program have used our reader Christianity and Social Work in our Ethics class in the program, but also in classes you are teaching. You may have heard the devastating news that my co-editor for that volume, Michael Kelly, died by suicide last year. While grieving this, I have been unsettled about who could possibly be my partner in putting together the 7th edition of the text. Our own alumna, Dr. Regina Trammel, agreed last week to be my co-editor! I am thrilled and so glad to be able to partner with Regina in this way. We expect the edition to come out in 2024-25.
