Ally Matteson

Prof. Matteson works as a Project Director with the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development which focuses on training organizations who work with victims of child sex trafficking across the state of Texas using Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®). She has also spent time doing community development projects in India and Egypt. In addition, Prof. Matteson has worked as a therapist specializing in complex trauma at a residential treatment center that serves child sex trafficking in long term treatment and has trained residential treatment centers, schools, law enforcement, and community-based service agencies on TBRI®, trafficking, and complex trauma as well as developing cultures of care across the community.
