Background
Christen has worked as adjunct faculty for the Baylor School of Social since 2008. Christen’s practice experience includes interventional work within child welfare agencies in Central Texas. She has also worked within hospital settings assisting in crisis intervention and risk management. Most recently, she provided individual, group, and family counseling seeking to assist in Texas’ prevention and early intervention programs. Through a continued passion for teaching and the desire to proliferate the profession of Social Work, Christen became full-time faculty within the Houston Extension of the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work in 2015, and continues full-time now in her current position of Online MSW Program Director.
Christen is married to David Argueta who serves as the President of CHI St. Luke’s Health -The Woodlands, Lakeside and Springwoods Village Hospitals. Together they have two beautiful daughters, Carys and Ardyn.
