Jessica Beattie
Part-time Faculty
Jessica Beattie has practice experience working for state and non-profit healthcare organizations. She previously held both inpatient and outpatient roles with The Medical University of South Carolina’s children’s hospital. She provided clinical services and support to children with chronic medical conditions. She also worked with children and families at the Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center where she provided forensic assessments and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. She currently works for a non-profit faith-based hospice organization providing social work and grief support. Her research interests include health literacy, health disparities, grief, and social justice/advocacy.
