Jocelyn Flores
Part-time Faculty
Prof. Flores has worked in varying fields within child welfare including as an investigator and social worker providing mental health consultations during forensic interviews and Problematic Sexual Behavior-Cognitive Behavior Therapy (PSB-CBT) and Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI) services. Additionally, she has developed and presented content to heighten awareness about online sexual exploitation of youth. Currently, Prof. Flores is a social worker in Chelsea High School where she provides crisis management, mental health coordination, and individual counseling to students that are newly arrived to the United States. Her research interests include child welfare policy, immigrant and refugee mental health, and best practices for trauma-informed acculturation and school adjustment of immigrant youth. |
