Kimberly Valdez

Prof. Kimberly Valdez, LCSW is a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor and has experience teaching Advanced Clinical Practice. Professionally, she has had the opportunity to understand how mental health effects every aspect of our lives - our finances, our relationships, and our health. She has helped people combating co-morbidities of financial distress and mental distress with the United Way of Greater Houston; walked families through caregiving distress and the grief of losing a loved one as a Hospice Social Worker; and worked hand in hand with medical providers, identifying and treating patients experiencing distress in their physical and mental health. She currently works in private practice and advocates for the expansion of Integrated Behavioral Health in underserved communities.
