Mary Zane Nelson

In this role, Mary Zane supports the work of this Department of Education funded project by supervising interns on multiple campuses, building relationships with district and campus level staff, leading professional developments, and ensuring administrative tasks are complete so project goals are met.  She works with interns and other staff to engage schools and families in the development of internal and external emotional resources that will contribute to the social and academic success of our children and strengthen our schools, families, and community.  She graduated from Baylor with her BSW and MSW and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her years of experience in school social work paired with her time as a Social Work Supervisor has helped shape this passion for preparing future social workers to be in schools.
