Nikki Wilmoth has served as Marketing Communications Director for the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work at Baylor University for nearly 15 years, where she develops and implements comprehensive strategies that enhance the school's image, identity and impact across multiple platforms. In her multifaceted role, she crafts compelling narratives about the Garland School through diverse media channels while overseeing all external and internal publications as both writer and editor. Her expertise extends to social media administration, graphic design, visual media production, and strategic website development, ensuring cohesive brand messaging across all digital touchpoints.
Before joining Baylor University, Nikki spent nearly a decade at Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas, where she provided strategic public relations, marketing and communications leadership. Her professional journey began in education, where she served as a middle and high school educator teaching journalism, English and reading before pursuing her Master's degree in Communication to expand her expertise in strategic communications.
A native of East Texas, Nikki and her husband and children (now all grown!) have called Waco home for more than two decades. When not advancing the mission of the Garland School, she enjoys quality time with family and friends, pursuing creative projects in her craft room and relaxing by the lake. An enthusiastic Star Trek fan, Nikki embodies the curiosity and collaborative spirit that drives her professional work. She considers her position at the Garland School both a privilege and a calling, taking pride in contributing to the meaningful work and lasting impact of the institution she calls home.
