Background
Tysheira was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Eastern University and an MSW from Temple University. She is currently a Psychotherapist in private practice, utilizing a holistic, collaborative, and humanistic approach to support her clients. Tysheira founded the non-profit Finding My Way Foundation, Inc., which supports young adults aged 17-25 in navigating adulthood. Due to her passion for emerging adults, she has written two books to support them on their journey to adulthood. Her research interests include long-term health impacts of individuals who witness trauma, exploring success and resilience, particularly survivors of domestic violence witnessed in childhood.
Tysheira enjoys attending theater and musical performances, exploring museums, reading, trying and cooking new foods, and spending time with her husband and their two-year-old Bombay cat, Shaggy.
